Responsible AI Across Medicare, Medicaid, and Public Health
What this session is
Most public agencies now have an AI pilot. Far fewer have something in production that survived procurement, privacy review, union consultation, and a budget cycle — and fewer still can say what it actually changed for beneficiaries or for staff workload.
This session puts that gap in the middle of the table. It is built for the people accountable for Medicare, Medicaid, and public health programs, and it is led by the questions those people are actually facing this quarter: what cleared review and why, where oversight sat, what the vendor relationship looked like, and what the honest cost was.
HALSO is an independent forum. This session is not endorsed by, affiliated with, or sponsored by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, the Department of Health and Human Services, or any state, territorial, tribal, local, or federal agency. Nothing said in it represents the position of any government body.

The room is built around public-sector practitioners and the people who answer to them.

How the hour runs
- Moderated discussion, not a webinar. A moderator keeps one thread running for the full hour and presses for specifics.
- Minimal slides. A handful at most, for orientation. No deck is presented and there is no product demonstration.
- Curated audience Q&A. Questions are submitted during the session, grouped by the moderator, and put to the discussion in the time reserved for them. Every question is read; the strongest and most representative are asked.
- Sixty minutes, ending on time. 1:00–2:00 PM Eastern.
Speakers. Participants for this session are being confirmed. HALSO publishes a name here only after that person has confirmed in writing. An invitation is not a confirmation, and no one is listed as a speaker until they have agreed to be listed.
Recording. HALSO intends to record the session for the production of written implementation guidance. If the session is recorded you will be told at the start, before the discussion begins. Recordings are not sold, not published in full, and not shared with sponsors. Attendee cameras and microphones are off by default and you are never required to appear on camera or to speak.
